Canadian designer Franny E sources metals, diamonds and natural gemstones that are socially, environmentally and morally responsible. Like each piece of jewellery, their natural gemstones and diamonds are one-of-a-kind and contain natural inclusions. No two are alike.

A few words by Franny herself: “ In our hearts and minds, we have always stood for diversity, equality, and inclusion. We believe in supporting and recognizing people from all walks of life. We focus on hand-fabricated processes, using old-world production methods, and simple hand tools (including heirloom tools from Grandpa and Father). No machinery is used. No harsh chemicals (not even polishing compounds). Our live/work studio is run off of clean hydro energy for all power sources. While we have partnered with retail 'giants' in the past for capsule collections, we see the power in staying small so we are able to fully control the creation and distribution of our one-of-a-kind pieces. We are also able to connect closer to our following this way. We use recycled metals whenever possible and newly-mined Fairmined gold to compose our pieces. Our recycled metals primarily come from our own studio remnants and scrap and reclaimed metal from old jewelry and objects. When new metal is needed, we purchase recycled silver and gold from our supplier who is SCS certified. We are proud to be one of the first companies in Canada to hold a Fairmined Certification. We can trace nearly all the stones we use, not only to the mine but sometimes to the exact miner who extracted the stone. We focus on making one-of-a-kind (one-off pieces) so that each piece has a true story and we can connect to every story of the raw materials that come together to create the piece.”
