This ring is part of our Art Ring showcase at Tomfoolery. Art Ring is an annual celebration of bold design and craftsmanship showcasing masterful creations from over 40 unique designers. The Art Ring event is hosted in the gallery from November to January. Each Art Ring comes with a dedicated Story Card featuring a sketch and quote from the designer.
This macabre yet playful statement ring is in the form of a strawberry with a red finish and skull detailing. Tiny diamonds have been used to depict the eyes in several of the silver skulls. There is also a hidden skull in the base of the ring which features rubies. Momocreatura’s jewellery explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy through the depiction of fairytale-inspired images. Their pieces are finely handcrafted assemblages of child-like imagination, suggestive of ambiguous, twisted humour.
