This ring is part of our Art Ring showcase at Tomfoolery. Art Ring is an annual celebration of bold design and craftmanship showcasing masterful creations from over 40 unique designers. The Art Ring event is hosted in the gallery from November to January. Each Art Ring comes with a dedicated Story Card featuring a sketch and quote from the designer.
'On a trip to Cambodia I visited the beautiful Banteay Chhmar Temple. One of Cambodia's less visited temples, in fact we were the only ones there. The ruins were a symbol of mans control over nature being reclaimed over the passing of time. Roots from the fast growing tropical trees were intertwined with the rocks so that they collapsed and supported each other simultaneously. It was hard to imagine how the boulders had fallen, if it had been a sudden collapse or indiscernibly slow, perhaps they were still falling as we stood there? The piles of fallen boulders was the inspiration for my crumbling temple ring'' - Lucie Gledhill
